Celanese Emulsion Polymers has continually advanced the performance of vinyl acetate-based emulsions for highloft and polyester pad applications. Dur-O-Set® 982 represents state-of-the-art color development, heat stability and binder strength for a crosslinked PVAc. Dur-O-Cote® HS is a new latex for 2008 which is designed to impart improved stiffness in polyester pad applications. This emulsion can provide equivalent pad stiffness with resin add-on values typically 10% lower than comparative resins.
