Celanese Emulsions has developed the new, innovative EcoVAE line specifically for the paint and coatings market. EcoVAE addresses formulation and regulatory concerns as well as offering distinct competitive advantages in the marketing of paints and coatings created with it.

Consumers today are more environmentally conscious than ever, and VOC limits continue to decrease. Contractors still want a coating that has good touch ups and retailers demand a strong marketing for DIYers. The EcoVAE line addresses each of these issues in a line of high-performance vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) emulsions.

Formulate high-performance, environmentally-friendly coatings

The newest member of the EcoVAE line of emulsions for environmentally-friendly coatings is EcoVAE 501.  Like all EcoVAE products, it is APE free and low odor.  EcoVAE 501 also offers good stain and scrub resistance.  Designed for use in flat and non-flat paints, it offers good wet and dry adhesion as well as good block resistance.  For semi-gloss paints, it is recommended to blend EcoVAE 501 with Avicor 601, our 100% acrylic emulsion.  

EcoVAE 401 can be used to achieve paint formulations <50 g/l or even zero VOC, resulting in eco-friendly, low odor products. Interior DIY paints manufactured with EcoVAE 401 also offer superior stain resistance and will withstand tough washing and scrubbing.
