As a global chemical company, Celanese is pursuing an efficient strategy for fulfilling the requirements under the European legislation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals). This will benefit both Celanese and its customers. Celanese will continue to take all necessary steps to maintain compliance with REACH for all of our products.

Following pre-registration, Celanese is currently in the transitional period during which the manufacture and import of substances is permitted pending the final registrations between 2010 and 2018. Celanese sees REACH as an opportunity for cooperation with its customers and suppliers. It will further enhance the exchange of information about safe uses and respective Risk Management measures throughout the supply chain.

Products

Our product range includes single substances as well as polymers. Polymers are exempt from REACH, but constituents may be within the scope of REACH. We will continue to take all necessary steps to maintain compliance with REACH for all of our products. This means that Celanese’s product portfolio remains unchanged.
