United Way
Support for local United Way or United Fund organizations is a key community relations priority for Celanese sites in the United States. Celanese is well represented in annual fund-raising campaigns, and the company matches employee contributions.

Our employees contribute to the success of United Way by serving in leadership positions on boards and cabinet committees. In the larger communities where we do business, our sites serve as Pacesetter contributors. In recent years, Celanese has heightened its encouragement of employee participation.

In our headquarters city of Dallas, Celanese now ranks in the top 10 of Dallas based companies in many of the key metrics used by United Way. In 2010, the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas received its largest donation from a single event in its 86-year history because of the efforts of the Celanese Fundraising Golf Tournament: the event raised $425,000 for those in the communities of metropolitan Dallas. We achieved this by setting stretch goals, measuring progress and refusing to be satisfied with past performance.

Habitat For Humanity
Celanese is committed to helping those in need. Habitat for Humanity has created more than 2,000 homes in the DFW area, a truly remarkable achievement, and Celanese is proud to be associated with this great nonprofit organization.
