Nutrinova® Sorbic Acid - A broad spectrum of action
  • Sorbic acid and its salts are effective against moulds, yeast and many bacteria.
  • Growth of several mycotoxin-forming molds is inhibited.
  • Sorbic acid is a fatty acid similar to those found naturally in foods.
  • Sorbic acid is only sparingly soluble in water. Therefore, sorbic acid is mainly used in products with low water content, e.g. in baked goods, or in fatty media.
  • Panosorb® is a form of Nutrinova® Sorbic Acid specially designed to protect yeast-leavened bakery products.
  • On request, Nutrinova® Sorbic Acid is available in pharmaceutical grade.
